Best TryNearby alternatives in 2026

By Jake Luo · Published Oct 21, 2026

TryNearby (trynearby.com, Y Combinator Summer 2026) sends local food creators to restaurants every month. You subscribe, its AI agents match, book and message creators over iMessage, and the creators visit, film and post about you on TikTok and Instagram; an AI assistant texts you when a visit is booked or a video goes live. Read on its own site on 21 October 2026: $399 a month, month to month, for 5 local creators a month, or $999 billed quarterly ($333 a month, 17% off) for 15 creators a quarter, with a managed creator flow, an analytics dashboard and 24/7 account support, and no contract. Its site says more than 120 restaurants are on the platform. It works best, by its own FAQ, for restaurants, cafes, bakeries and food and beverage businesses.

The first reason people look elsewhere is geography: TryNearby's restaurant plan is live in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, and everywhere else is a waitlist form. The second is how much of the work you want to keep — choosing the creators yourself, paying per creator, or hosting as many as you like for one flat fee. If you run a restaurant in Southern California and want a steady stream of local creators with nothing to organise — you serve the table, they post — TryNearby is built for exactly that, and none of the four options below takes the booking off your hands as completely. AgentCeres is on this list for a different job: the website and the restaurant's own posts that people find after they watch a creator's video.

The shortlist

  1. Mustard

    Top pick

A local influencer marketing platform for restaurants, shops, hotels, beauty and fitness businesses: you set up a campaign, local creators apply, you approve them or let its AI match, and they visit and post.

    Pros
    • Creators across the US, Canada and the UK — 175,000+ by its own count — so it is not limited to one region
    • Monthly campaigns from $299 for 3 creators, $499 for 5 and $999 for 10; quarterly plans cost $675, $1,125 and $2,250 for 9, 15 and 30 creators
    • Its dashboard tracks whether each creator posted after the visit and flags the ones who did not, so you can approve a replacement
    Cons
    • Month to month it costs about $100 per creator on every tier, against about $80 at TryNearby
    • Creators can be paid in food, cash or affiliate commission, and cash is on top of the plan price
    • A quarterly plan is a three-month campaign before you can cancel
    Pricing:
    From $299/mo (3 creators)
    Best for:
Restaurants outside Southern California that want the visit-and-post model with a wider creator map
  2. Influence4You

A Paris-based influencer platform with a self-serve plan for bars and restaurants: describe your place in five minutes, local creators apply, and you invite the ones you choose for a meal or a drink.

    Pros
    • One flat price for unlimited creators: €199 a month per location, excluding VAT
    • Your first two creators are free, with no payment details and no commitment
    • Each creator delivers a Reel or TikTok plus three royalty-free photos, and every profile shows its share of suspicious followers
    Cons
    • Priced in euros, and the restaurant page does not say which countries the local plan covers
    • Each creator also leaves a review on Google, Tripadvisor or Booking; Google Maps' own policy forbids reviews posted in exchange for free goods or services, so ask how that part works
    • Self-serve: choosing the creators and arranging each visit stay with you
    Pricing:
    €199 ex VAT/mo per location
    Best for:
European bars and restaurants that want to host as many creators as they like for one flat fee
  3. Collabstr

An influencer marketplace with 1.3m+ vetted creators you can filter by location: buy a creator's package straight from their profile, or post a campaign and take applications, with payment held in escrow until you approve the work.

    Pros
    • Free to join: search creators and buy packages with no subscription
    • Filters by platform, niche, location, follower count and engagement rate
    • You pay for exactly the creators you pick, and escrow releases the money only after you approve the post
    Cons
    • Each creator sets their own price, and you add a 10% fee per order on Free and Pro, 5% on Premium
    • Posting campaigns needs Pro at $299 a month ($249 billed annually) or Premium at $399 ($333 billed annually)
    • A marketplace, not a visit service: briefing the creator and scheduling the visit are yours
    Pricing:
Free + 10% per order; Pro $249/mo billed annually
    Best for:
Restaurants that want to hand-pick and pay a few creators at a time
  4. AgentCeres

AgentCeres — the AI Growth Officer — is a managed AI marketing team: it builds and hosts your website, writes and schedules your own Instagram and Facebook posts, and its Influencer agent finds local creators and drafts the invitation.

    Pros
    • Builds, publishes and hosts your restaurant's website — menu, hours, a booking or enquiry form — and shows you what comes in through it
    • Its social media agent writes and schedules posts for your own Instagram and Facebook; public posts wait for your approval by default, and Auto mode can send routine posts on its own if you switch it on
    • Its Influencer agent finds and checks local food creators and writes a personal invitation for each one
    • Not tied to a region; a free plan, a 14-day trial with no card, then $39 or $99 a month
    Cons
    • Nobody is sent to your door: no creator network, no visit booking and no creator payments — you send the invitations and host the visits
    • No Google Business Profile or Yelp connection
    • TikTok posting is still in limited testing
    Pricing:
    Free plan; $39–$99/mo
    Best for:
Restaurants that need the website and their own posting done, and will invite creators themselves

What one creator visit costs, from the prices on these pages today. TryNearby's $399 for 5 creators is about $80 a creator, and its quarterly $999 for 15 is $66.60. Mustard is about $100 a creator on every monthly tier ($299 for 3, $499 for 5, $999 for 10) and $75 on every quarterly one. Influence4You is a flat €199 however many creators you host, so its cost per creator falls with every visit you arrange. On Collabstr you pay each creator's own package price plus the 10% fee. In every one of these models the meal is yours — TryNearby's FAQ says the only thing you do is serve the customer when they walk in — so add the cost of what you put on the table. Whichever you choose, the creator ate for free in the expectation of a post, and the FTC's endorsement guidance says a free product given that way is a connection the creator should disclose clearly. Ask each service how it briefs creators on that.

Where AgentCeres fits next to any of them. About three quarters of the people who sign up with us come to build a website first, and a restaurant is a clear case of why: a creator's video sends people to look you up, and what they find is your Instagram and your site. That is the part we do — the website with your menu and a way to book or ask, and the posts on your own accounts — and our Influencer agent can find creators for you to invite. We do not send anyone to your door. If you are in Southern California and want visits handled, use TryNearby for that and AgentCeres for the page they land on. Our small-business page has the rest, and our AhaCreator alternatives roundup covers influencer tools for brands that ship products.

How we checked. Read on 21 October 2026: trynearby.com (the page, with both the monthly and quarterly price and its FAQ), TryNearby's Y Combinator company page, mustard.love/pricing (monthly and quarterly), Influence4You's bars-and-restaurants page, collabstr.com/pricing (monthly and annual), Google Maps' contribution policy on incentivised reviews and the FTC's endorsement-guides FAQ. Results each vendor reports for its customers — TryNearby's sales and view figures, Mustard's return estimate — are its own claims and are left out of the comparison.

FAQ

How much does TryNearby cost?
Read on trynearby.com on 21 October 2026: $399 a month, month to month, for 5 local creators a month, or $999 billed quarterly ($333 a month, 17% off) for 15 creators a quarter. Both include the managed creator flow, an analytics dashboard and reporting, and 24/7 account support. There is no contract and you can cancel any time. The food you serve the creators is on top.
Is TryNearby available outside Southern California?
Not for restaurants yet. Its restaurant plan is live in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, and restaurants elsewhere can fill in an interest form. The longer city list on its site is for creators signing up, not for restaurant availability. Outside Southern California, Mustard runs the same visit-and-post model across the US, Canada and the UK, Collabstr lets you search creators by location, and Influence4You has a flat-fee plan for European bars and restaurants.
Do creators have to say they got a free meal?
In the US, the FTC's endorsement guidance says that free products given with the expectation of a post create a connection the creator should disclose clearly and conspicuously, so a hosted meal belongs in the post. Reviews are stricter: Google Maps' contribution policy says businesses may not offer incentives, including free goods or services, in exchange for posting any review. This is not legal advice; ask whichever service you use how it handles both.
Can AgentCeres send creators to my restaurant?
No. AgentCeres has no creator network and books no visits. Its Influencer agent finds and checks creators and drafts a personal invitation, which waits for your approval and goes out from your own email or messages; you host the visit. What AgentCeres does do is build and host your website and write and schedule posts for your own Instagram and Facebook. If you want visits handled for you, TryNearby or Mustard is the better fit.
