Best Pie (getpie.com) alternatives in 2026

By Jake Luo · Published Oct 7, 2026

Pie (getpie.com, from Pie Tech Inc.) is an AI marketing platform for local brick-and-mortar businesses — salons, studios, auto shops, multi-location franchises — built by a team from Square and Toast and backed by Lightspeed, American Express and Capital One. It sells three products: AI Search, which works on getting a local business recommended by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity; Growth, which runs ad campaigns on hyperlocal channels (Google Maps, Yelp and Nextdoor, per its June 2026 launch coverage); and an AI Front Desk for phone calls. Read on Pie's own site on 7 October 2026: it "starts at $59 per location per month", the first month is free, there is no contract, and it recommends an ad budget of about $10 a day on top.

This page is about Pie the marketing platform — not Pie Insurance or any other product called Pie. People look past it for one of four reasons: per-location pricing plus ad spend adds up across several shops; they need their phone answered now, and Pie's own Front Desk page still says "Coming Soon"; their customers find them on Facebook and Instagram rather than Maps and Yelp; or they need a website and steady growth work beyond local ads. If customers walk in and you want local ad campaigns run for you, Pie is built for exactly that — take its free month first. AgentCeres is the pick for the last of those four: a website plus SEO, AI-answer visibility, social and content, from $39 a month.

The shortlist

  1. Tenably AI

    Top pick

An AI marketing teammate for small businesses and creators: it writes and auto-posts social content, collects and replies to Google reviews, and sends email and SMS campaigns.

    Pros
    • Self-serve with published prices: Creator $24/mo, Pro $49.99/mo and Business $90/mo billed monthly, 20% off annually (tenablyai.com/pricing, read 2026-10-07)
    • Reviews are a first-class feature — a Get Reviews link and QR code, review monitoring and drafted replies — which matters to the same shops Pie serves
    • Its homepage says the only things it asks of you are what it cannot do itself, including "your yes on what goes out"
    Cons
    • Auto Ads & A/B testing and the unattended AI Teammate are on the $90 Business plan only
    • No phone answering, and nothing on its site describes ads on Google Maps, Yelp or Nextdoor
    • Content and reviews are the core; it offers Link Pages rather than building and hosting a website
    Pricing:
    $24–$90/mo; annual saves 20%
    Best for:
Shops that want posts, reviews and email handled more than paid local ads
  2. AgentCeres

AgentCeres — the AI Growth Officer — is a managed AI marketing team, with SEO, GEO, social, ads, PR and community specialists, that also builds and hosts your website.

The whole team, on every planSee the team →
    Pros
    • Builds, publishes and hosts your site, then reports its visits and form submissions back to you
    • A GEO agent that checks whether AI answer engines cite you — the same job as Pie's AI Search — next to an SEO agent for ordinary search
    • Self-serve in eight languages, a 14-day trial with no card, and one flat account price rather than a price per location
    Cons
    • No phone answering, and no ads on Google Maps, Yelp or Nextdoor
    • Built for growth work in general; Pie's whole product is shaped around calls, bookings and foot traffic, and ours is not
    • Outbound posts and emails wait for your approval by default — opt-in Auto mode removes that wait for posts and emails, never for spending
    Pricing:
    Free plan; $39–$99/mo flat
    Best for:
Owners who need a website and steady growth work, not only local ads
  3. Muse by Meta

Meta's personal AI agent, with a small-business mode that connects your Facebook, Instagram and Meta ads in one step, plus Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, Klaviyo and more.

    Pros
    • Free with a usage limit; paid plans are Power at $20/month and Maximum at $100/month (Meta Help Center, read 2026-10-07)
    • Plans content and ads for the channels many local shops already live on, and learns from what is working
    • Nothing publishes, sends or spends without your approval, and it keeps an audit trail of what it did
    Cons
    • Available only to people 18 and over in the US and Canada
    • Its ads are Meta's — nothing on muse.ai/business describes Google Maps, Yelp or Nextdoor
    • No phone answering, and no website hosting of its own
    Pricing:
Free; $20 or $100/mo for more usage
    Best for:
US and Canadian shops whose customers find them on Facebook and Instagram
  4. Smith.ai

An AI receptionist, with human-staffed plans too, that answers your business line 24/7, qualifies callers and books appointments.

    Pros
    • Answers calls today — the job Pie's Front Desk page still lists as Coming Soon
    • A free plan with 25 calls a month ($3 per call after that), and Pro at $150/month for 75 calls (smith.ai/pricing/ai-receptionist, read 2026-10-07)
    • Books through Calendly and similar tools, with a recording, transcript and summary of every call
    Cons
    • Priced per call, so a busy phone line costs more every month
    • Does no marketing: it looks after the customers who already call, not finding new ones
    • Full-service setup and custom prompting are on the $500/month Enterprise plan
    Pricing:
    Free (25 calls/mo); Pro from $150/mo
    Best for:
Shops losing customers to missed calls right now

Before you compare anyone's return numbers. Pie's Growth page says customers see "an average 7x return on ad spend at just 5% of the cost of a traditional marketing agency", and its partner page says 10x; both are Pie's own figures. Whichever tool you pick, ask how that return is counted. From running our own Google Ads account: Google records a conversion on the date of the click, and the conversions we upload arrive between a few hours and about two and a half days after the event, so the newest week always looks worse than it will once the stragglers land. A dashboard that shows last week's return without saying so misleads you. Pie's own pages also disagree with each other on the signup credit — "$360 on us" in the page header, "$300 on us" in its pricing answer — so confirm the figure when you sign up.

How we checked. Read on 7 October 2026: getpie.com (home, AI Search, Growth, AI Front Desk, Partners and News pages, including the answers in their FAQ markup), SiliconANGLE's launch report of 30 June 2026 for the Growth channel names, tenablyai.com and tenablyai.com/pricing, muse.ai/business and Meta's Help Center article "About Muse subscriptions", and smith.ai/pricing/ai-receptionist. Pie's AI Search is the part closest to our own work — our GEO agent does the same job of getting a business named in AI answers. For the general-assistant side of this market, see Muse by Meta alternatives; for people rather than software, agencies and freelancers.

FAQ

How much does Pie cost?
Pie's own FAQ, read on 7 October 2026, says it starts at $59 per location per month, with the first month free and no contract, and recommends starting with an ad budget of about $10 a day on top of the subscription. Its AI Search page says GEO also starts at $59 per location per month and is priced separately from Growth and its voice product. The signup credit is stated two ways on the same site: $360 in the page header and $300 in the FAQ.
Does Pie's AI Front Desk answer calls yet?
Pie's AI Front Desk page, read on 7 October 2026, says "Coming Soon" and asks you to join a waitlist, with exclusive pricing promised to early members. Its news page carries an NYSE TV segment in which the CEO says the voice agent answers 90% of calls for partners such as Supercuts, so it appears to run with partners before general signup. If missed calls are the problem today, an AI receptionist such as Smith.ai is available now.
Is AgentCeres a good fit for a local business?
For the website, search and AI-answer work, yes — small local businesses are part of who AgentCeres is built for. For phone answering and ads on Google Maps, Yelp or Nextdoor, no; Pie or one of the tools above fits better. AgentCeres never spends money you haven't approved. Inside a plan you approved it can pause, lower a budget or drop a keyword on its own; anything that would spend more or reach new people waits for your approval.
