What an AI SEO agent is
An AI SEO agent is software that does search work for you. It reads your site and your search data, decides what to fix first, writes the pages, and makes the changes through the tools you connect.
Most SEO tools hand you a report and leave the work to you. An agent is meant to do the work and ask you before anything goes live. In AgentCeres it comes with every workspace and already knows your business, because it shares what the rest of your AI team has learned.
What it does for you
Audits your whole site
It crawls your pages and flags duplicate titles, missing descriptions, broken internal links, orphan pages, thin content and slow loading, then says what to fix first.
Reads your search data
It reads Search Console to see which searches and pages are moving. Sites we host are set up for you. Any other site connects its Search Console once.
Finds what to write about
It turns what people already search for into a short list of topics, with keyword ideas and search volumes.
Keyword ideas and volumes: Pro and above.
Checks who ranks today
It looks at live Google and Maps results for a country or city, so it can tell you who ranks for a search and what their pages cover.
Live Google and Maps results: Pro and above.
Writes in your voice
Articles and pages about what you actually sell, with the title, description, headings and links to your other pages already done.
Makes the fix
It edits pages on a site we host, and drafts changes on WordPress, Shopify and Contentful for you to approve.
Where it can make changes
It depends on where your website lives. If it can't reach your site, it still writes everything for you to paste in.
| Your site is on | What it does | What waits for you |
|---|---|---|
| AgentCeres hosting | Builds and edits pages, titles and descriptions. Submits your sitemap when you publish. | It changes a page when you ask, and you can restore any earlier version. |
| WordPress | Writes draft posts, edits posts and pages, uploads images. | Publishing and edits wait for your approval. Drafts don't. |
| Shopify | Writes and updates articles and pages, and adds redirects. | Each change waits for your approval. |
| Contentful | Drafts entries. | Publishing waits for your approval. |
| Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or anything else | Writes the page and a list of fixes for you to paste in. Reads your Search Console if you connect it. | You make the change. It can't reach these sites yet. |
Numbers you can check
Every position, volume or click in a report comes from a check made for that report, or from your own accounts, with the search, place and date. When it has no data it writes "unknown" and says what would answer the question.
It doesn't estimate, and it doesn't turn one reading into a trend. That can make a first report look short. It also means you can trust what's in it.
You approve what goes live
Drafts change nothing on your site. Publishing to a site you connected waits for your approval on a card. If the account owner turns on Auto mode in Settings, those actions run without a click, within a daily limit.
The weekly report only reads. It never changes your site, so you can leave it running without worrying about what it might do.
AI SEO agent, SEO suite or agency?
They solve different problems. Pick by who is going to do the work.
| Compare | AgentCeres | SEO suite (Semrush, Ahrefs) | SEO agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who does the work | The agent, with you approving | You or your marketer | The agency's team |
| Writing and publishing | Included, on the sites it can reach | Writing aids; you publish | Included, usually a set number of pieces a month |
| Keyword and backlink data | Volumes and live results on Pro and above; backlink totals only | Very large databases, competitor keyword gaps, full backlink lists | Whatever tools the agency uses |
| Rank tracking over time | No chart. A weekly comparison from Search Console | Yes, a core feature | Usually in a monthly report |
| Link building | Finds sites worth asking and drafts the message for your approval | Finds prospects; you do the outreach | Often included, and a main reason to hire one |
| Best when | Nobody on your team does SEO | You have someone who works in the data every week | You want people accountable for strategy and links |
How it works
- 1
Tell it about your business
Share your website and who you sell to, or let it build you a site first.
- 2
Connect your site
Connect Search Console and WordPress, Shopify or Contentful. A site we host needs no setup.
- 3
It audits and drafts
You see the first findings and drafts in the chat, in order of what's worth doing first.
- 4
A report every week
By email: what moved, what's broken, and which fixes to make next.
What it doesn't do
- Search data needs Pro or above. The free trial, Free and Basic get the site audit, Search Console and page speed checks, without keyword volumes or live Google results.
- It doesn't keep a rank-tracking chart. Its report compares Search Console numbers week to week and checks your top searches in live Google.
- It doesn't have Semrush or Ahrefs-sized databases. It can't list every keyword a competitor ranks for, and it shows backlink totals rather than a full list, unless you connect your own account with them.
- It doesn't build links on its own. It finds sites worth asking and drafts the message, and nothing is sent until you approve.
- It doesn't manage your Google Business Profile or your reviews.
- Sites we host don't have a blog section yet: no article list or RSS feed, and a limit on pages per site. If articles are your main channel, keep WordPress or Shopify and connect it.
- It can't promise rankings. Nobody honest can.

What is an AI SEO agent?
Software that does search work instead of only reporting on it. It audits your site, reads your search data, writes pages and makes fixes through the tools you connect, and asks you before anything is published.
Can SEO be fully automated?
Not all of it. Audits, keyword research, drafts and many on-page fixes can be. Knowing what's true about your business, and earning links from other sites, still needs you. That's why it asks before publishing and doesn't send outreach on its own.
How long until I see results?
Search usually takes months, not days, and a new site with few links takes longest. Fixes on pages Google already shows can move sooner. It can't promise a ranking, but the weekly report shows you what moved and what didn't.
Will it work with my website?
It makes changes on sites we host and on WordPress, Shopify and Contentful once connected. On Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or anything else it can audit public pages and read your Search Console, and it writes the changes for you to paste in.
Does it replace Semrush or Ahrefs?
For a business with nobody doing SEO, it can replace the need for one: you get the audit, the priorities and the writing without learning a suite. If you have a specialist who needs large keyword databases, full backlink lists and rank history, keep the suite and connect it.
Does it replace an SEO agency?
It covers audits, content and on-page fixes. An agency still brings people you can hold to account, and hands-on link building. If that's what you need, hire one.
Does it publish without asking?
Not by default on a site you connected: publishing waits for your approval. On a site we host, it changes a page when you ask it to, and you can restore any earlier version. If the account owner turns on Auto mode, connected-site publishing runs without a click, within a daily limit.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $15 a month. Keyword data and live search results start at $39 on Pro. The first 14 days are free and need no credit card.
