Best Locus Founder (locusfounder.com) alternatives in 2026
Locus Founder (locusfounder.com) calls itself "an AI cofounder for internet businesses". You text it on iMessage, Telegram or the web, and from a plain-language idea it builds a website on its own domain, writes and sends cold outreach from your inbox, prepares ad campaigns, keeps a CRM of leads and customers, and takes payments through Stripe — into your own Stripe account, not Locus's. It comes from Locus (Y Combinator, Fall 2025, San Francisco), whose main product is payment infrastructure for AI agents at paywithlocus.com. This page is about the AI cofounder, not that payments API.
Read on its fees page (updated 27 July 2026) on 30 October 2026: $25 a month or $250 a year, a 1% application fee on every charge your business takes on top of Stripe's own processing, and a 5% revenue share on monthly revenue above $1,000. Starting is free with no card, and there is no trial. Its FAQ, last updated in June, still lists $50 a month after a 24-hour trial — more on that below.
People look past Locus Founder when they would rather pay a flat price than a share of every sale, when they want more of the work to be getting found — search, AI answers, social posts — than cold email, or when they already sell through Stripe, Gumroad or Etsy and only need the site and the marketing around it. For those, AgentCeres is our pick: a team of AI marketing specialists that builds and hosts your website and brings people to it, for a flat $15–$99 a month, with payments going straight to your own Stripe, Gumroad or Etsy account — AgentCeres never receives or holds that money. If cold outreach from your own inbox is the main job, stay with Locus Founder: it is built around that loop, and AgentCeres is not the better tool for it.

The shortlist
AgentCeres
Top pickAgentCeres — the AI Growth Officer — is a managed team of AI marketing specialists for SEO, GEO, social, ads and PR that also builds, publishes and hosts your website. Start from your current site, or from an idea if you have no business yet.
- Growth Officer
- Research agent
- SEO agent
- Social media agent
- Ads agent
- Influencer agent
- Launch & PR agent
- GEO agent
- Community agent
- Sales agent
Pros- A flat $15–$99 a month, with no fee on your sales or your ad spend
- Separate specialists for search, AI answers, social and ads, working from one brief about your business
- Builds, publishes and hosts the site, and a Buy button opens your own Stripe, Gumroad or Etsy checkout — the money never passes through AgentCeres
- Posts and outbound emails wait for your approval by default — an owner can switch on Auto mode for routine posts — and it never spends money you haven't approved
Cons- Its Sales agent finds prospects and drafts cold emails into your mailbox, but you send them; Locus Founder sends for you once you approve
- No iMessage: you work with it in its web chat, or in Slack, Telegram, Discord or Feishu
- No checkout of its own, and it won't buy a domain for you; a domain you already own connects on paid plans
- Pricing:
- Free plan; $15–$99/mo flat
- Best for:
- Small businesses and first-time founders who want the website and steady marketing, and keep their own checkout
Locus Founder
An AI cofounder you text on iMessage, Telegram or the web. It builds a site on its own domain, sends cold outreach from your inbox, prepares ads, keeps a CRM and wires in Stripe — from the Locus team behind paywithlocus.com.
Pros- Its approval page lists what waits for you: customer messages, ad creative and budget, any price or charge change, and significant site changes
- Outreach is the core loop: it researches prospects and sends from your own inbox once you approve
- Customer payments settle into your own Stripe account, and the first $1,000 of revenue each month carries no revenue share
- One subscription covers a workspace and its agent, with no per-seat pricing
Cons- Two fees on your sales: 1% of every charge, plus 5% of monthly revenue above $1,000
- Its own pages disagree on price — $25 on the fees page and homepage, $50 after a 24-hour trial in the FAQ
- No published credit allowance; per its FAQ, usage beyond it is billed at cost plus a margin of up to 30%
- Its site does not say which ad platforms it runs campaigns on
- Pricing:
- $25/mo or $250/yr; 1% per charge + 5% above $1,000/mo
- Best for:
- Founders whose first job is cold outreach, and who want to run it by text
Crevio
"AI that runs your small business" from Crevio, Inc. in New York: it incorporates an LLC, buys the domain, builds the site, takes payments, answers email and calls, posts to social and buys ads.
Pros- The widest reach on this page: an LLC, a domain, a phone line its AI answers and ads on Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok and Microsoft
- A free Starter plan, and checkout settles into your own Stripe account — Crevio says it is not the merchant of record
- Standing AI tasks that fire on a schedule or on events, such as a new order or an inbound email
Cons- A fee on every sale on every plan: 5% on Starter, 2.5% on Pro, 1% on Business
- Its pricing page shows yearly billing only: Pro $16 and Business $40 a month, billed yearly
- Its homepage says consequential actions "can pause" for your sign-off — an option, not a rule
- Pricing:
- Free (5% fee); Pro $16/mo, Business $40/mo billed yearly
- Best for:
- Founders who want the company itself formed and run from one login
NanoCorp
Describe a business and NanoCorp's AI agents build and sell it — a site, email and checkout on nanocorp.app, with custom domains on the paid plan.
Pros- A 3-day trial of everything with 15 welcome credits and no card
- Founder ($30 a month) allows unlimited businesses, and monthly credits roll over
- Its terms keep you the merchant of record, with customer payments processed by Stripe
Cons- A 20% fee on withdrawals — the largest cut on this page
- Its terms say you authorise the agents' actions, running ads and incurring charges included, by creating and running a business
- After the trial, checkout, email, custom domains and the agents pause until you pick a plan
- Pricing:
- 3-day trial; Founder from $30/mo; 20% fee on withdrawals
- Best for:
- People who want to try several AI-run business ideas at once
Amboras
An AI-native e-commerce platform from Amboras, Inc., backed by Y Combinator: tell it what you sell and it builds the storefront, then edits it, runs A/B tests and manages products, orders and inventory by prompt.
Pros- The deepest store on this page: Stripe and PayPal checkout with Apple Pay and Google Pay, multi-currency and automatic tax
- Generative A/B tests that create store variations and promote the winners
- Email campaigns and flows on every plan, and no transaction fee listed on its pricing page
Cons- The highest sticker here: Basic $49, Pro $105 and Advanced $299 a month ($39, $84 and $239 billed yearly); Plus from $2,499
- Basic is one store and one seat
- Its pages describe the store, email and testing, not ads or outreach — the traffic is yours to bring
- Pricing:
- Basic $49, Pro $105, Advanced $299/mo; Plus from $2,499
- Best for:
- Product sellers who want an AI-built store that keeps testing itself

Two price checks we ran, and why they matter. Locus Founder's own pages do not agree on what it costs. Its homepage and its fees page (updated 27 July 2026) say $25 a month or $250 a year, free to start with no card, and no trial. Its FAQ and the pricing answer inside it (both updated 23 June 2026), its Locus-vs-Polsia page (17 July 2026) and its Y Combinator launch post say $50 a month or $500 a year, after a 24-hour trial with $5 of agent credit. We quote the fees page, the newest of them. The second check went the other way round: Locus's comparison with Amboras (updated 23 June 2026) lists Amboras at about $39, $105 and $399 a month with a "Grow" tier, while amboras.com/pricing on 30 October 2026 shows Basic $49 ($39 billed yearly), Pro $105 and Advanced $299. Vendor comparison pages go stale — ours included — so every price on this page was read from the vendor's own site on the same day.
Where Locus Founder is the better choice. If the first thing your business needs is conversations with prospects, Locus Founder researches them and sends from your own inbox once you approve, and you can run all of it from iMessage. AgentCeres's Sales agent stops at a prospect list and drafts in your mailbox that you send yourself. Locus Founder's fee structure also costs little while sales are small, since the 5% share only starts above $1,000 a month — the 1% per charge applies from the first sale.
Where AgentCeres fits instead. When the job is being found — search pages, answers in AI assistants, a steady run of social posts, and ads that wait for your approval — AgentCeres splits it across specialists and builds the website they point to, at a flat price with nothing taken from your sales. You keep your own Stripe, Gumroad or Etsy checkout. See starting a business from an idea for how it works with no business yet.
How we checked. Read on 30 October 2026: locusfounder.com with its fees page, FAQ, pricing, approval and "same as Locus" answers, and its Polsia and Amboras comparisons, plus Locus's Y Combinator company page; crevio.co and its pricing page; nanocorp.so/pricing and its terms; amboras.com and its pricing page. Polsia, which Locus compares itself with, is left out because polsia.com showed no readable content that day — see Polsia alternatives. For the other AI company-builders, see Crevio alternatives and NanoCorp alternatives.

FAQ
- How much does Locus Founder cost?
- Read on locusfounder.com/fees on 30 October 2026: $25 a month or $250 a year, a 1% application fee on each charge your business takes on top of Stripe's processing, and a 5% revenue share on monthly revenue above $1,000. Starting is free with no card, and there is no trial. Its FAQ (last updated 23 June 2026) still lists $50 a month or $500 a year after a 24-hour trial. Per the FAQ, usage beyond the included agent credit is billed at cost plus a margin of up to 30%, and auto top-up is off by default.
- Is Locus Founder the same as Locus?
- Same company, different product. Locus (Y Combinator, Fall 2025) builds payment infrastructure for AI agents at paywithlocus.com; Locus Founder is the AI cofounder built on it by the same team. Locus Founder's customer payments run through your own Stripe account.
- What's the best Locus Founder alternative if I don't want a cut of my sales?
- AgentCeres, if you want the website and the marketing: a flat $15–$99 a month, nothing taken from your sales, and your own Stripe, Gumroad or Etsy checkout. Amboras lists no transaction fee either, but it is a store builder from $49 a month and does not run ads or outreach. Crevio and NanoCorp both take a share — 1–5% of each sale, or 20% of withdrawals.
