Best Marklo AI alternatives in 2026

By Jake Luo · Published Oct 24, 2026

Marklo (marklo.ai) calls itself "the AI marketing platform for brand led teams on Shopify". It connects a Shopify store to Klaviyo, Attentive, Meta, Google, TikTok, Canva and Figma, rebuilds every launch, promotion, email, SMS, ad and social post into one day-by-day, year-over-year calendar, and then suggests the campaigns to run next — timed to your inventory, with revenue estimates taken from comparable campaigns you ran before. From a suggestion it drafts the email, SMS, paid and social versions, pushes draft emails to Klaviyo and tracks results while the campaign runs. It was founded by Jessica Herrin, who earlier founded Stella & Dot, and announced a $5 million seed round led by Forerunner, with Freestyle Capital, alongside its public beta in late September 2026. Read on 24 October 2026, marklo.ai publishes no price list (its /pricing address returns a not-found page), its Shopify App Store listing says "Free", and the site offers a free trial and a demo.

This page is about Marklo, the Shopify marketing planner at marklo.ai — not MarloAI, Markopolo or Markero, which are different products. People looking for an alternative usually want one of four things: something already inside Shopify at no extra cost; the AI inside the email tool they already pay for; an agent that runs the ads instead of planning them; or the marketing done for them, because there is no marketer to hand a plan to. If you have a marketer running Shopify and Klaviyo and want one calendar that shows what every campaign actually sold, year over year, with suggestions timed to your stock, Marklo is built for exactly that, and none of the four below rebuilds your campaign history the way it does. AgentCeres is the pick for the last of the four: a managed AI marketing team that does the work, and builds the website if you do not have one yet.

The shortlist

  1. Shopify Campaign Autopilot + Sidekick

    Top pick

Shopify's own AI, inside the admin you already use: Sidekick answers questions about your store and takes actions in it, and Campaign Autopilot, announced in the Spring 2026 Edition, plans and runs campaigns across Meta, Microsoft Advertising, Shop Campaigns and email within a budget and guardrails you set.

    Pros
    • No extra fee: Shopify says Campaign Autopilot is free on every paid Shopify plan and Sidekick is included with your plan — you pay only the ad spend
    • It can create your Meta and Microsoft Advertising ad accounts from the Shopify admin if you have never run an ad
    • You choose how much room it gets, from approving every campaign before it runs to letting it adjust more on its own
    • It suggests and builds email automations such as abandoned-cart and abandoned-browse sequences
    Cons
    • It uses your existing product images and catalog and does not generate new creative, so the ads are only as good as your product photos
    • Shop Campaigns run in the US and Canada only, and Shopify says channel availability varies by location
    • If you already run Meta or Shop ads it creates its own separate campaigns beside them, so you have two sets to watch
    Pricing:
Free on paid Shopify plans (Basic from $29/mo billed yearly)
    Best for:
Shopify stores that want ads and email run from the admin they already use, at no extra fee
  2. Klaviyo Composer

Klaviyo's AI marketing agent, inside the email and SMS platform many Shopify brands already pay for: it answers questions from your Klaviyo data, surfaces opportunities, and builds audiences, campaigns and flows from a prompt, ready for your review.

    Pros
    • A free start: Klaviyo's free plan includes $5 of Composer usage a month, and Composer itself is $20 a month with four times that usage
    • Describe the outcome and it builds the audience and drafts the campaign for review, in your brand voice and compliance rules
    • It can schedule recurring work and run audits of your campaigns, flows, forms and audiences
    Cons
    • It acts inside Klaviyo — campaigns, flows, segments and forms; its page does not describe running ads or social posts
    • Usage is metered: included usage resets each month without rollover, and extra is $10 per 1,000 credits
    • The free plan stops at 250 active profiles and 500 emails a month; email plans start at $20 a month for 251–500 profiles
    Pricing:
    Free plan; Composer $20/mo
    Best for:
Brands whose marketing is mostly email and SMS, already in Klaviyo
  3. Ryze AI

An AI platform whose homepage reads "AI runs your ads, SEO, and website": its Paid Ads agent works across Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and 50+ integrations, and a done-for-you Shopify CRO plan adds A/B tests on your store pages, set up by the Ryze team.

    Pros
    • It executes rather than suggests: bid and budget changes, creative rotation and on-page SEO fixes, with approval controls on every change
    • A flat price at any ad spend — Paid Ads is $89 a month with a 7-day trial and unlimited ad accounts
    • Shopify CRO, at $1,499 a month, bundles paid ads, SEO and A/B tests applied to your store by its engineers
    Cons
    • Its pricing page is about ads, SEO and store testing; it does not describe planning email or SMS campaigns
    • SEO is a separate plan from $129 a month, and the Shopify CRO plan starts with a demo booking
    • Annual billing saves 30% in the first year only; renewals are at the full annual price
    Pricing:
    From $89/mo (Paid Ads)
    Best for:
Shopify brands that want an agent running ads, SEO and store tests rather than a planning calendar
  4. AgentCeres

AgentCeres — the AI Growth Officer — is a managed AI marketing team for a business with no marketer: SEO, GEO, social, ads and content specialists, plus a website it builds and hosts, and a Shopify connection that reads your store.

    • Growth Officer
    • Research agent

    Pros
    • Builds, publishes and hosts your pages, then reports their visits and form submissions back to you
    • Reads your Shopify orders, products, inventory, discounts and abandoned checkouts, and proposes product, price, inventory, discount and page changes for your approval
    • Drafts, segments and sends Klaviyo campaigns after you approve them, and connects the Meta Ads, Google Ads and TikTok Ads accounts you already run
    • A free plan, a 14-day trial with no card, then $39 or $99 a month
    Cons
    • No year-over-year calendar tying every email, SMS, ad and post to revenue — our content calendar covers social posts
    • No campaign suggestions with revenue estimates drawn from your past campaigns, and no Attentive connection
    • Not built for a marketing team that wants a planning workspace: you steer it in chat, and it does the work
    Pricing:
    Free plan; $39–$99/mo flat
    Best for:
Small businesses without a marketer — or without a website yet — that need the work done, not planned

Plan, or do? Every tool on this page, Marklo included, reads history. Marklo rebuilds the campaigns you have already run, Composer works from your Klaviyo data, and Shopify says Campaign Autopilot needs time to learn what works for your store. That is the right design for a brand with a year of campaigns and someone whose job is to act on a plan. It is the wrong starting point for most of the people who come to us: about three in four AgentCeres signups arrive wanting a website first, before there is a store history for a planner to read. So the honest split is by stage. If you have the history and the marketer, take Marklo, or Shopify's free tools if Meta and email are your channels. If you have neither, you need a team that builds the website, writes the posts and runs the SEO. Anything AgentCeres sends — posts, emails, store changes — waits for your approval by default, and an optional Auto mode can send the routine ones for you. AgentCeres never spends money you haven't approved. Inside a plan you approved it can pause, lower a budget or drop a keyword on its own; anything that would spend more or reach new people waits for your approval.

How we checked. Read on 24 October 2026: marklo.ai (home, features, compare, about and demo pages; /pricing returned not found), Marklo's Shopify App Store listing (pricing "Free", five reviews, all five stars, listed since 21 November 2025), Retail Tech Innovation Hub's report of the seed round, shopify.com/sidekick, shopify.com/pricing, Shopify's Spring 2026 Edition page and its post introducing Campaign Autopilot, klaviyo.com/pricing (the email plan figures are in the page's pricing schema) and klaviyo.com/composer, and get-ryze.ai (home and pricing). Marklo's homepage says it saves $50K–$100K a year by replacing tools, contractor and agency time; that is its own estimate, so ask how it was worked out. And ask what the plan costs once the public beta ends — the Shopify listing's "Free" is today's answer, not a published price. If email is most of your marketing, our Klaviyo alternatives page goes deeper.

FAQ

How much does Marklo cost?
Read on 24 October 2026, Marklo publishes no price list: marklo.ai/pricing returns a not-found page, the site offers a free trial and a demo request, and its Shopify App Store listing shows the price as Free. Marklo opened a public beta when it announced its seed round in late September 2026, so ask on the demo what the plan will cost after the beta.
Is Marklo the same as MarloAI or Markopolo?
No. Marklo at marklo.ai is a marketing planning platform for Shopify brands, founded by Jessica Herrin and backed by Forerunner and Freestyle Capital. MarloAI, Markopolo and Markero are separate products with similar names and no connection to it.
Is Shopify Campaign Autopilot really free?
Shopify says so: Campaign Autopilot is free for all brands on paid Shopify plans, with no additional fee for the feature itself. You still pay the ad spend — to Meta directly, and through Shopify for Shop Campaigns and email. Sidekick, Shopify's AI assistant, is included with your Shopify plan, with features and usage limits that vary by plan.
Does AgentCeres work with Shopify and Klaviyo?
Yes. AgentCeres connects to your Shopify store to read orders, products, inventory, discounts and abandoned checkouts, and proposes product, price, inventory, discount and page changes that you approve. It connects to Klaviyo to read email and SMS results and to draft, segment and send campaigns after your approval. What it does not do is rebuild your past campaigns into a revenue calendar — that is Marklo's core job.
